My goal as a therapist is to provide you with compassionate understanding and a clear plan for moving forward, whatever this means for you. It may mean finding your way after a life change, healing your relationship after infidelity, decreasing family conflict, helping your struggling teen, recovering from depression, or overcoming anxiety and panic. It could also mean helping you to enjoy life more, regardless of what is happening around you.
I am a directive, solution-focused therapist who believes the most effective therapy combines nurturing support with concrete tools, and makes space for irreverence and humor. My goal as a therapist is to not only increase your insight about yourself and patterns that are keeping you stuck, but to also give you practical actions to take that will move you in the right direction. I have been providing therapy to individual adults and adolescents, as well as couples and families for over 25 years. I work with a broad range of emotional, behavioral and relationship issues and utilize the most effective research-based techniques and strategies so my clients start to see improvement and changes as quickly as possible. In addition to general practice, I have specializations in couples counseling and adolescent therapy .
*Please note: Currently I am taking in-person clients only and my availability is limited to late morning and early afternoon appointments, Tuesday -- Friday.
